Made possible because of the hard work from each teammate and supporter.

A new MiRO project every few months.

Voluntary with a level & pace that works for you.

Every project, team members are rotated.

And every time, it’s unique.

Shadow.

Still getting used to a position or want to test out an entirely new one? We can pair you up with a Playmaker.

Playmakers are more than just mentors — they’re leaders, strategists, and facilitators. It isn’t just "watch and learn." Playmakers lay out the path for participants to take action themselves. Through guidance, having the right tools and offering insights, Playmakers create opportunities for participants to succeed.

Who we look for.

The creative space can be a tricky thing, especially when working with a team.

We want to establish up front that there is no “client” or single decision-maker here; decisions are made collaboratively, with ideas evolving as they pass through various stages and artists. It’s crucial to respect each other’s time and work while staying open to ideas outside your comfort zone or preference. While artistic challenges are inevitable, we need team members who communicate well, are willing to compromise, and can adapt.

Due to the unpredictable nature of this project, timelines may not be set in stone. While we’ll set goals, flexibility is key. Great work can't be rushed, so it's important that we allow each other the time needed to do our best work. Keep in mind your teammates have other responsibilities outside of MiRO, so staying connected and willing to assist in other areas is essential.

Finally, leave your expectations at the door. It’s a given that everyone wants the final piece to be the best it can be, but the main objective here is experimentation and growth. A “my way or the highway” attitude will not be tolerated — this is about collaboration, building, and guiding each other.

Remember, the journey is just as important as the destination.

Current Limitations.

While we all want MiRO to be extraordinary in every way possible, we also have to stay realistic about what’s achievable with our current scale and resources. That means making some compromises. But don’t forget — this is just the beginning.

Frequency

Currently, we're only able to commit to producing roughly one video bi-monthly. As the program operates on a voluntary basis, the availability of team members can vary based on their personal schedules and other professional obligations. Producing each video is a time-intensive process, so we’ve established this two-month timeline to ensure we can maintain high-quality work without overburdening our collaborators. Our goal is to expand the program in the future, bringing in more artists and securing additional funding to increase the number of projects we can create.

Duration

Each video we produce is approximately a minute long, but the process behind creating these short pieces is far from quick. One of the unique challenges of working with VFX is that every single frame requires attention and time. With multiple layers, animation, simulations, processing and rendering times, even a one-minute video can take weeks of work.

01 Music Selection

Musicians will choose a section of their song that is impactful and memorable with the ability to showcase live vocals. Whether the final piece will be used to tease an upcoming release, launch a new song or promote an existing one is up to you.

02 Concept Development

Key visual artists will collaborate with the music artist to develop a concept based on the song’s meaning and tone.

03 Pre-Production

This is where all the planning and previs happens. Pre-production is critical to mapping out how everything will work together during the production and post-production stages.

04 Production

The live shoot will be filmed, focusing on the performance of the music artist along with recording the live vocals and capturing for the VFX.

05 Post-Production

In addition to editing the video, this is when the creation and compositing of all the VFX will take place.

06 Distribution

Once the final video is completed, it will be first released on MiRO's official YouTube, Instagram and website with full credits on all platforms. All content including the final performance video, and BTS photos/videos will be provided to the participating teammates and music artists for their own promotional use.

But the fun doesn’t have to end there…

Perhaps you’re interested in exploring a different role next time, or even joining the team as a Playmaker — there’s always a chance to get involved again. Who knows? You might even find yourself starting a new project with someone you connect with here. The bottom line is, we want MiRO to push you, help you rediscover your passion for your craft and inspire you to keep playing.

  • Yes. It’s crucial to us that all participating members’ intellectual property is respected and acknowledged. While MiRO is granted the right to use and distribute the content made in connection to each project, all artists and crew members retain ownership of the work they provide. This means you can use what you created here for your own portfolio, showcases, creative awards and promotional content. However, appropriate attribution and credit of all participants must be given for content produced collaboratively.

  • MiRO does not collect any ad dollars from streaming services or social media such as YouTube or Meta.

  • This largely depends on the project timelines, available positions, and the queue of submissions. Above all, we prioritize finding individuals who are team players.

During the onboarding process, we ensure that the estimated key dates, scope, and role align with each person’s availability. If it’s not a good fit, we’ll make every effort to find an alternative role. Otherwise, we’ll place them in the lineup for future projects when the right opportunity arises.
